I.I.M.U.N. HISTORY

India’s International Movement to Unite Nations, established as the world's largest youth-run organization, bridges global and local perspectives, promoting an Indian viewpoint on international issues. Founded to empower youth, I.I.M.U.N. provides a platform for solving "glocal" problems individually. Knowing its history, the organization fosters innovative solutions from young changemakers.

2011 - 2012

  • Organization was Founded.
  • India's largest MUN with 1078 delegates.

2012 - 2013

  • Championship Conference at World Trade Center
  • 10 National conferences
  • Asia's largest MUN Organization

2013 - 2014

  • Championship Conference at Retreat Hotel & Convention Center
  • 30 national conferences
  • World's largest Residential MUN

2014 - 2015

  • Championship Conference at Aamby Valley City
  • 75 National Conferences

2015 - 2016

  • Championship Conference at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel
  • World's largest MUN in Mumbai with 7500+ students
  • Maiden International Conference of the Organization took place in Bangladesh

2016 - 2017

2017 - 2018

2018 - 2019

2020 - 2021

  • A 3D platform curated specially for MUN conferencing utilizing features of virtual reality.
  • Pioneered the first digital youth engagement across the globe during pandemic. Over 50,000+ students attended our weekly digital rendezvous
  • Created a live and interactive learning platform for students to explore topics and develop skills outside of their school curriculums

2021 - 2022

  • Heads of Nations panel discussion.
  • एकIndia - A melodious amalgam of voices including Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri & Shilpa Rao as they sing to lift up the spirit of millions of covid-impacted Indians
  • School of leadership - Live virtual classes for students to develop skills outside of their school curriculum

2022 - 2023

  • Celebration of #ADecadeOfIIMUN @Gateway of India
  • Launch of I.I.M.U.N.'s Constitution
  • Establishment of free-of-cost I.I.M.U.N. Clubs across India

2023 - 2024

  • Celebrated 75th Republic Day of India at the British Parliament
  • At the invitation of the Hon. Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla, organised an exclusive interaction for students at the Indian Parliament
  • Organised the opening ceremony of I.I.M.U.N. Rishikesh at the Raj Bhawan, Uttarakhand at the invitation of Governor of Uttrakhand, Gurmit Singh
