Our commitment to creating a positive impact on society goes beyond the traditional scope of our other projects. Each month, we actively engage in a diverse range of social initiatives aimed at addressing pressing issues, fostering awareness, and promoting social responsibility. These initiatives, conducted throughout the year, reflect our dedication to building a better, more inclusive world. Some of them are as:
Twenty-five years ago, in 1999, the Kargil War was fought between India and Pakistan from 3rd May 1999 to 26th July 1999. The Kargil War (Also known as Operation Vijay in India) took place when Pakistani troops infiltrated the Indian-administered territory of the LoC to take over vital peaks in Kargil. During this operation, 559 soldiers of the Indian Army sacrificed their lives for the nation and reclaimed our land.
To honour their sacrifice and pay tribute to them, we collected thousands of letters for the Indian Army from children across socioeconomic strata and different parts of the nation. On Kargil Vijay Diwas, we take these letters from over 300+ cities across the nation and a delegation of I.I.M.U.N. volunteers travel to Kargil to hand deliver them and first-hand witness the celebrations. We are grateful to be able to give back to our brave jawans under the guidance of our esteemed advisor Gen. Ved Prakash Malik, the 19th Chief of the Indian Army.
For over thirteen years now and much before the international recognition given to the day, I.I.M.U.N. has endeavored to make yoga a part of every young person’s life. From mandatory yoga sessions at all our conferences in India and worldwide, to organizing yoga sessions for not-so-privileged youth, we have truly believed in the power of practicing yoga. On 21st June 2024 which is marked as World Yoga Day, I.I.M.U.N. brought the world together by hosting a day-long global connect of yogis and young people connected via social media. The event hosted 48 yoga instructors from 24 nationalities, including Hong Kong, UK, Pakistan, Canada and others. Apart from this, the organization to mark the occasion- conducted yoga sessions in 100+ cities- creating yet another record for a youth-run non-profit
Every year on Bal Diwas aka Children’s Day, the organisation organises a pan-India donation drive aimed at providing necessities and aid to young people who do not have access to the same facilities that some of their more privileged do. These campaigns focus on providing clothes, food, and books amongst other things. A campaign run by young people, it has contributed greatly to aiding those marginalised groups across India where last-mile delivery of government programs yet prove to be challenging.
On this Republic Day, the tricolor soared high, echoing the voices of a billion dreams. In 20+ cities, we didn’t just celebrate freedom—we honored the responsibility it brings. Through flag-hoisting ceremonies, discussions on the Constitution, and community outreach, we reminded young minds that the future of the nation rests in their hands. Because a republic thrives not just on its laws, but on the spirit of its people.
Love begins with self-respect and safety. This Valentine’s Day, across 20+ cities, we went beyond celebrations—we educated. Through specially designed modules on good touch and bad touch, we empowered children with awareness and confidence to protect themselves. Alongside, we introduced self-love sessions, teaching them that love isn’t just about others—it starts with valuing oneself. Because the greatest gift of love is knowing your worth.
She is fierce. She is resilient. She is change. On International Women’s Day, we celebrated the strength of women who rise against the odds, who break barriers, and who rewrite destinies. This Women’s Day, in 20+ cities, we celebrated the indomitable spirit of women—through workshops, awareness sessions, and heartfelt conversations. Because when women rise, societies transform.
Menstruation is not a taboo. It is power, it is life. Across 30+ cities, we educated, empowered, and erased the stigma surrounding periods. Through interactive workshops, open discussions, and practical demonstrations, we equipped young girls with the knowledge they deserve. No girl should feel ashamed. No girl should be left behind. We didn’t just talk about hygiene - we talked about dignity.
Freedom isn’t inherited; it is upheld. This Independence Day, across 20+ cities, we didn’t just wave the tricolor—we lived its essence. Through patriotic events, educational activities, and community gatherings, we reminded young minds that independence is not just a date but a responsibility. Because celebrating freedom means working every day to preserve and honor it.
Some people don’t just create organizations; they create homes. This Founder’s Day, we celebrated Rishabh Shah, the visionary behind I.I.M.U.N., in the most heartfelt way possible. In 30+ cities, we cut cakes in orphanages, laughed with children, and expressed our gratitude. "Thank you" felt too small a phrase, but through these little moments, we hoped to show that his belief in young India has changed lives.
October: Mental health isn’t just a conversation—it’s a necessity. In 30+ cities and 50+ schools, we introduced students to the healing power of Eastern practices like yoga and meditation. Our team, aged just 16-22, orchestrated this massive movement, proving that change doesn’t need experience - just intent. Featured in newspapers across Gwalior and Bilaspur, this initiative was more than an event; it was a revolution of awareness.
Christmas is not about gifts - it’s about giving. Across 25+ cities, we spread warmth to children in orphanages, government schools, and slum areas. From playing games to distributing gifts, every moment was a testament to the true spirit of the season. In those shared smiles and twinkling eyes, we found the real magic of Christmas.
