14th to the 17th of August, 2025
Mumbai
The 14th Championship Conference of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.) was held from the 14th to the 17th of August, 2025, in Mumbai. This educational extravaganza saw 3,000 delegates from 400 schools spread across 126 cities and 9 countries congregate under one roof.
Hosted by Film Actor- Riddhi Dogra and Comedian- Cyrus Broacha, the opening ceremony began with a vibrant showcase of India’s cultural roots through a magnificent Indian classical dance performance where artists presented a medley of classical dance forms in sync with live music. The Founder of I.I.M.U.N., Mr. Rishabh Shah, then delivered the opening remarks, laying out the vision of empowering young voices and urging delegates to always remain India at Heart and international in their mindset.
Next, the leaders of tomorrow witnessed a powerful discussion on climate action with Dia Mirza, Shaan, and Naina Lal Kidwai as the panelists. They spoke about the urgency of the crisis and, more importantly, the role young people must play in finding solutions rather than waiting for them.
Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Chairperson of I.I.M.U.N. 's Advisory Board, then addressed the gathering in his inimitable style. He spoke about India’s place in the world, his vision of India @ 2047, and the need for the youth to shape the country’s narrative globally. His words left the audience inspired, and proud.
The ceremony concluded on an unforgettable note by a power-packed segment by our beloved Advisor & Indian Actor- Mr Boman Irani. Sharing stories from his journey, he spoke about resilience, optimism, and chasing dreams. When he began singing “Give Me Some Sunshine”, the entire hall joined in - a moment that will stay with us forever.
Over the next two days, mornings began with yoga and Zumba sessions that brought delegates together in spirit and energy. The committee sessions at the Jio World Convention Centre became the heartbeat of the conference. Delegates worked tirelessly, discussing, debating, and finding solutions together. On 15th August, to mark India’s 79th Independence Day, we had the privilege of hosting a special panel with General V.P. Malik, Admiral R.K. Dhowan, and Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik, all former Chiefs of the Armed Forces. Listening to them share first-hand experiences, including stories from Operation Sindoor, was an experience that left everyone humbled and inspired. This was followed by Azeem Banatwala’s stand-up act that left everyone in splits.
The closing ceremony brought these four days to an emotional end. Shri C.R. Mukunda, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, spoke about leadership rooted in service and the importance of holding on to India’s values while stepping into the future. As the curtains came down, there was a quiet realisation - this was never just about four days in Mumbai. It was about voices being heard, friendships being formed, and dreams taking shape.
For us at I.I.M.U.N., it was yet another reminder of why we do what we do: Uniting the world the Indian way, by sensitising tomorrow's leaders today!
