Vaccines have made far-reaching changes in the world and especially in the world’s global health accompanied by life-saving immunities from unquestionably dangerous diseases like tetanus, smallpox, flu, plague, measles, and other dangerous contagious diseases are now rendered no longer deadly because of the creation and the use of vaccines. Vaccines are especially now the most important medicines we can receive to be immune from certain new deadly diseases like covid-19 and many other dangerous new diseases that have still not been discovered by scientists or have not been reported to the WHO (World Health Organization) or the CDC (Centers for disease control and prevention) yet. According to the WHO and CDC getting a vaccination prevents thousands of Americans from catching a disease each year. The CDC had said that getting immunized is the best protection from any dangerous diseases. Especially for old and young children as they may have a weak immune system. They also say that if we do more vaccines then maybe the Covid -19 Pandemic may end without any more infection cases on their hands to take care of.
The first Vaccine was made by a man called Edward Jenner. Edward Jenner was a family doctor from Gloucestershire. Jenner’s theory of vaccination came to be like one day he observed that the milkmaids who worked in the countryside near his hometown called Berkley had amazingly clear complexions and were never afraid of the scars of the smallpox disease. After seeing this Jenner had asked the milkmaids why they were not afraid of smallpox and they said that they had all been infected by Cowpox and that this was what protected the milkmaids from smallpox. He then had decided to experiment. He had decided to take the pus from a girl known as Sarah Nelmes after she had come home for consultation on the blisters she received from milking a cow that was named Blossom
Jenner had then on purpose infected an eight-year-old boy who went by the name of James Philip with Cowpox and lately with smallpox. Thankfully to everyone’s relief James Philip did not get infected with Smallpox and thus Edward Jenner’s theory was correct and gave birth to the process of Vaccination and Vaccines. If Edward Jenner had not followed through with his experiment or theory then humanity would not have made it this far. In recent years, there has been opposition to Vaccinations. For reasons such as misconceptions, fear, and the mistrust of sciences. Those who oppose vaccinations and impose that they are dangerous to have been referred to as Anti-vaxxers or Anti-vaxxer Activists. Some arguments against vaccines are rather persistent and they always have a widespread fear that vaccines may spread mental disorders like autism and that our natural immunity is better than an injected immunity and that all vaccines contain harmful substances and chemicals and that they give us the disease but over some years a handful of experts, Public health officials, and physicians had disproved the Anti-vaxxer Activists claims. In order to combat the currently ravaging virus, the process of vaccination should be understood, and then considered upon.
